EACH Programs (extended aged care in the home)
The aim of this program is to enable people to remain in their homes for as long as possible. To be eligible for an EACH package the individual must be assessed under the Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS). This assessment will determine the level of residential care required. An EACH package is then individually tailored to suit the needs of the client.
Additional care can also be provided which may include the provision of assistive equipment, 24-hour on-call access, continence aids, assistance with oxygen and or enteral feeding, as well as other specific services to enable the individual to remain in the community.
To be eligible for EACH the individual must be assessed by the Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS) requiring at least low level residential care.
